Chapter 1: I Had A Seizure

Monday, Feb. 6, 2012:
For those of you waiting for the next chapter of my testimony, thank you for your patience. The Holy Spirit has kept me soooooo busy doing His work, that I haven't made the time to continue writing--but, I will soon, as I'm obligated to share this blessing of being healed so that others might be encouraged by it and grow closer to God as a result.
More coming soon! I promise!  : )  Until then, please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, and/or prayer requests.
                    Have a blessed day, everybody!
                                     Bro. K.

5:43 a.m.
I had a seizure. Or, what my doctor would later update to, "a seizure-like event" as I did not lose consciousness.

As a writer, I often record my story ideas on video. I didn't remember the seizure event, which was captured on video, until five days later, when I played the recording. I was transcribing story notes, when I saw what happened. Simply put, I was shocked by what I saw:
My body contorted as I sat on the sofa. Both hands were suddenly drawn tight to my chest, resembling a dog begging with his paws.
I fell backwards onto a pillow as my eyes remained shut, and my head twitched several times.

The entire experience lasted about 30 to 40 seconds. I can be seen on the video breathing heavily with my eyes closed, then, when the event passes, my body loosens up and I return to writing.

Later that day, while cooking at the stove, it occurred to me that I had been standing the entire time. I typically sit on a stool while cooking as my legs would often buckle after standing in place for more than a minute or so. Not this time. I was standing without weakness, or pain.

After 10 years of dealing with the onset of my neuromuscular disease, known as Polymyositis, the atrophied muscles in my skinny legs were becoming stronger.

What happened next, truly confirmed that the Holy Spirit was healing my handicapped body...
